The story of FCS II Fins (yes, you should use the roman numerals, it's not FCS 2 Fins or FCS Two Fins) is now deeply ingrained in tSBW culture. Simply put, FCS II Fins were and are a game changer. Rumors about FCS II surfaced late in 2012 and we were there at Surf Expo Jan. 2013 unavailing the new system LIVE. At the time, we sold a ton of FCS Fins and being located in Florida, FCS asked us if we'd like to help them unveil their NEW FCS II Fins and system at the Surf Expo in Orlando FL, Jan. 2013. Of course we jumped at the opportunity.
As Surf Expo approached, we wondered how should we approach the situation? I mean, the surf industry was relatively oblivious to the fact that FCS was about to drop a game changer, the screwless fin. After some internal discussion, we decided we had to be there the moment Surf Expo opened to shoot a video for our YouTube channel, so that's what we did. At 8:00 am tSBW was there, the first shop to see the launch of FCS II. Well that time has come and gone, but the fact remains, we were the first shop to see the FCS II fin line and we're excited to lay claim to being the FIRST shop anywhere with the whole range of FCS II Fins in stock.
The FCS II system has been designed to perform at the highest level by seamlessly connecting 3 essential elements in surfing; the surfer, the surfboard and the fins. When paired with fins from the FCS II fin line, it’s possible to install and remove your fins in seconds, without the need for any screws or tools. What you’ll find when you ride the new FCS II system is more speed, more drive, more acceleration and most importantly more response from your board. This equates to better surfing, putting you in the sweat spot on the wave sooner. FCS team riders have given the new FCS II system their personal stamp of approval, earning FCS II validation from the best surfers on the planet.
Again, keep in mind when looking for FCS II Fins to search: FCS II Fins, NOT FCS 2 Fins or FCS Two Fins; doing so will help you find the most relevant information. Something else to consider is that FCS has made the FCS II Fin system reverse compatible. What this means is that you can use all of your favorite original FCS Fins in your new surfboard, should you decide to go with FCS II. If you're going to use original FCS Fins in the FCS II system, you're going to want a Tab Infill kit, sold here. One last thought, if you're not sure where to start when looking at FCS II Fins, I suggest the FCS II Essential series. The Essential series is a rage of fins set including the Performer, Reactor, Accelerator and Carver, set to handle virtually any wave conditions.
At The Surfboard Warehouse, we've also partnered with the Finatic Fin Testing Program as a way to offer you a solution when it comes to trying FCS II Fins before you buy them. Finatic allows you the ability to test every set of FCS II Fins through their platform which operates much link Netflix. You set up your "queue" of fins and receive a set in the mail, to surf as long as you like. When you're comfortable with how those fins affect your surfing you simply send them back and Finatic will send you another set from your queue. We believe that Finatic is the next thing in the evolution of our sport when it comes to surfboard fins and that's why we have chosen to partner with them. Finatic does not sell new fins, so when you find a set of fins that you like, head back here to The Surfboard Warehouse let us know which set you'd like to purchase and we'll get them to you.
We are an authorized online dealer for FCS II and as mentioned, have carried the entire FCS II Fin line since the day they launched. We consider ourselves a premiere online surf shop and as such we back that claim up with the knowledge, customer service and brands that you would expect us to have, which includes FCS II Fins. On this very page, you'll see all the FCS II Fins that FCS has to offer. Not sure which FCS Fins II you need? Call us, we're here and we'll help. Thank you for considering The Surfboard Warehouse.
